This and many British Children's books follow the same basic theme!.!.!.Happy well-to-do children!.!.!.living with their happy well-to-parents!.!.!.la la la!.!.!.When the children's parents are tragically killed!.!.!.by some horrible (but not too horrible, don't want to scare the kids too much, means!.!.!.Crushed by a run away popcorn ball, run over by a heard of stampeding koalas, etc!.!.!.!.) The children are now sent off to be taken care of by some evil step Mom or Relative or Plotting evil doer!.!.!.The children go through some remarkable adventure, that in the end brings them back to happiness and sucess!.!.!.Really quite easy!.!.!.and cookie cutter in nature!.!.!.

Antonio D, if you've ever read The Series of Unfortunate Events, you would know that the children in the story don't ever find real happiness, not throught all 13 books!. And in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Charlie's parents don't die!. So you have no idea what you're talking about!.
