Question: Of mice and men - the signficance of dreams!?

okay i need help on an english assignment!. i need to write about what the dreams mean like why they are pointless for george and lennie because lennie is handicapped etc etc and all the other significance of the dreams!
help plz!

the significance of dreams is that, first, it's their dreams that made them still go on, work hard, until they have enough money to build their dream place!. without these dreams, they would have nothing to go on, nothing to look forward too, because opportunities are very few for itinerant workers such as George and Lennie!. Lennie reminds George of their dreams very often that it becomes alive in both of their minds!. they can imagine themselves in it!. the dream is important because part of it, they don't want to be ordered around!. with their own place, they can do whatever they want without other people controlling their lives, how they have to be, and no one to bother Lennie!. the impossibility of the dreams also prove another point to us, that even we, the readers, can see it is not impossible for people like George and Lennie to have their own place and etc, these dreams are still meaningful for both of them!. this is where the irony is present!. the shared dreams also prove the strong friendship between George and Lennie!. with their own place, they will take care and protect each other even more!. in the end, with Lennie being shot by George himself, it shows that they've lost their dreams larger than themselves!.

their american dream and such!. its important to have dreams so you can have hope and faith and a reason for living!. because lenny is handicapped, he needs something to look forward to, something to want!. and george, having to take care of lenny, needs something to look forward to, a better life when he wont watch lenny ask much :) hope i helpedWww@QuestionHome@Com

oh wow! we just started of mice and men in our class! so i just got to the dream part so i would love to help you but i cant because i never finished the book sorry
