A children's book about a donkey?

Question: A children's book about a donkey!?

I'm pretty sure I read it about 20 yrs ago and the main character was a donkey!. It was a favourite of mine, but I can't remember the title at all!. The donkey goes for a walk near a hill and finds a special rock which can make him do or be anything while he holds it!.
