It's not easy, especially as you have been taught to read each and every word!. Essentially, speed reading is the ability to glance down the page, instead of across!. It really can't be described any other way, and you'll either get it someday, or not!. It can't really be taught, it's more like coaching; you need some inherent, or genetic abilities!.

Some people learn how to do it at an early age, while others try the Evelyn Wood School of Speed Reading!.

It takes practice I guess, I've been an avid reader since a young age and I can now read your average sized novel in about 5 hours as long as it keeps my interest!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
