Question: Should I read Sylvia Plath!?
One of my friends recommended her to me, and I thought I would look for some more opinions!. Her work looks pretty dark, something I love, but her wikipedia page wasn't as descriptive as I would have liked!. Basically, I'm just looking for some opinions and suggestions as to what I should read!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I had to read the Bell Jar in high school and it was the best book I ever read!. It was basically a story of a period of time in her life!. It was a little dark but it was well written and very interesting!. She lead a really interesting life and I definitely think you should at least try to read some of her work!. I would start with the book above and then take it from there!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yes, her work is dark indeed but strangely beautiful!. Being a confessional poet, her poems tend to deal with personal issues that I think many people can actually relate to!. My favorite Plath poem is "Daddy"!. Do check it out!. It's a bit sad, but I hope you like it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I can recommend the novel, but I don't know much about her poetry!.

I thought "The Bell Jar" was awesome!. Dark, but awesome!.

And afterwards, watch the movie "Sylvia" for more insight!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yes, you should!. Read the Bell Jar!. Her work is very dark when you think about how mentally ill the character must be to have the kind of inner dialogue that occurs!. Www@QuestionHome@Com
