I have a dry and sarcastic sense of humor!.I also want books on the more unconventional side, because I get bored with the same old thing all the time!.I also want something that is a bit of an easy read because I have a short attention span but not too easy or I'd get bored with it!.However I also want something that isn't too predictable because I don't like things I can see the ending a mile away!.

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
Kurt Vonnegut is the greatest of the black humorists in my opinion!. He has influenced quite a few writers that I think you would like as well such as David Sedaris, George Saunders, and Christopher Moore!. A book by any of these authors is well worth checking out!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Try I am the Messenger by Markus Zusak
Very dry sense of humor, About underage cab driver Ed Kennedy and what happens when he gets a playing card in the mail!. These are the opening lines:
The gunman is useless!.

I know it!.

He knows it!.

The whole bank knows it!.

Even my best mate, Marvin, knows it, and he's more useless than the gunman!.

I would suggest you try Jasper Fforde's books!. He's been likened to Douglas Adams but really he's very different!. I'd suggest starting with the Jack Spratt series!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Uprising by Margret Peterson Haddix

very highly recommended but other Haddix book are great tooWww@QuestionHome@Com

Since you say you like black humor, you'd probably like most of Kurt Vonnegut's books!. He's most famous for Slaughterhouse Five and Cat's Cradle (both great), but you might enjoy some lesser-known works like Sirens of Titan or A Man Without A Country!. One of my favorite things about his writing style is that it's really easy to read and broken up into small paragraphs!.

Some other books you might want to look at: 1984 and Animal Farm, both by George Orwell; Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury; Perfume by Patrick Suskind!.

If you're into sci-fi, you might like Phillip K!. Dick's stuff!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
