Question: What is the difference between foreword, preface, and introduction of a book!?
Aren't they all the same!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
both foreword and preface are means of an introduction of a book (a definition of the book) but in different ways and views by the author, editor or 3rd party! introduction is a chapter or part of the book!

FOREWORD: ~ is someone Other than the author giving a definition, or opinion about his her knowledge or experience reading writing the book

PREFACE:~ introduction to book typically starting it's scope, subject or aims by the author or editor!

THE INTRODUCTION is the starting point to the book (opening)!. A "lead in" or "capture" into the book!. could also state a preview and feature of the specific book -genre!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Forewords tend to be written by someone else other than the author (e!.g!. an editor)

Preface I would say are explanatory notes written by the author him/herself

The introduction is the opening chapter/section of the actual book/novel itself

Hope that's clearWww@QuestionHome@Com

Foreward: Introductory remarks to the book written by someone other than the author!.

Preface: foreword: a short introductory essay preceding the text of a book

Introduction: Usually written by the author
