Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
Twilight!.
So Stephenie had a list of different names picked out for the book, and none of them made sense, or fit the book!. And out of her list the the Twilight stood out to both of them!.
And for the cover, it's the "Forbidden Fruit!." And everything Edward and Bella have is forbidden!. Stephenie also said, "I loved the phrase 'the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil!.'" The whole paragraph she wrote about it is on her FAQ for Twilight, which is the first link!.

New Moon!.
It does too say New Moon in the book!. "Not tonight!. The sky was utterly black!. Perhaps there was no moon tonight-- A lunar eclipse, a new moon!." Pg!. 74 That was after Edward left her and she fell!. When there's a new moon, it's not visible from earth!. It's the darkest kind of night!. New Moon is the darkest period of Bella's life!.
A lot of the times the publishers get to choose your book cover and stuff like that!. So in this case, Stephenie didn't get to choose the cover to New Moon, so she doesn't know what it means either!. And all that was on her FAQ for New moon!. Which is the second link!.

Eclipse!.
She actually doesn't have the meaning of the title or the cover in her FAQ for Eclipse!. My interpertation is that her Eclipse is Edward and Jacob!. Since an eclipse is when the moon and sun are a line and one covers the other!. And to me, that's what Edward and Joacob are doing!. For me, the ribbon means Bella's and Jacob's friendship broke!. I don't know if that make sense or not!. Haha!.
But FAQs for Eclipse are the third link!.

Breaking Dawn!.
The title is in reference to the beginning of Bella's vampire life!.
And Stephenie put it like this for the picture!. "Breaking Dawn's cover is a metaphor for Bella's progression throughout the entire saga!. She began as the weakest (at least physically, when compared to vampires and werewolves) player on the board: the pawn!. She ended as the strongest: the queen!. In the end, it's Bella that brings about the win for the Cullens!." This is all from the fourth link!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Twilight:
Stephenie Meyer has stated that the apple on the cover represents the forbidden fruit from the book of Genesis!. It symbolizes Bella and Edward's love, which is forbidden!.

New Moon:
Stephenie Meyer has stated that the flower has no significance to the story, as she had no part in choosing its design!. The title refers that New Moon is about the darkest period of Bella's life!.

Eclipse:
The broken ribbon represents choice, as in the book Bella must choose between her love for vampire Edward Cullen, and her friendship/love with werewolf Jacob Black!.

Breaking Dawn:
The title, Breaking Dawn, is a reference to the beginning of Bella's life as a vampire!. The cover is a metaphor for Bella's progression throughout the entire saga; she began as the physically weakest player on the board, the pawn, but ended up the strongest, the queen!.

I did not mention the title significance for both Twilight and Eclipse because it mentioned it somewhere in the book!. Sorry, I don't remember where exactly, but in both books it was towards the end!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The apple on the first book signifies the forbidden fruit!. It's how their love it forbidden!.!.(read it in an interview with stephenie meyer)

The chess peices on the last book( this is a theory) I think they signify the last move with the volturi and Edward and the others!. Because the chess peices are placed as if the last move will when the game, and seeing that it's the last book that fits it!.

I'm not sure about the other two!.!.!.I think the flower on new moon may mean that something new blossoms!.!.!.cause Bella and jacob become very close!. With the torn ribbon I really don't know what it could signify!. Maybe that some relationships are torn or something!.!.!.I'm not sure though!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
