Question: Anyone know a good site for publishing a book!?
i'm looking for a site where i can publish a story i'm writing right now!. this is my first book, so i am not sure how to publish! i dubbed it for the time being 'Shinobi no mono' (the historical name for ninja) as it is a ninja novel!. i am trying to put together all my ninja and ninjutsu (the art of the ninja) knowledge into one novel!. but it is already VERY long, so thinking about making a sequel! lo! i think it is a fairly good storyline, and am making it up as i go along!. LOTS of fights, assassinations, sex, and other exciting material! so can anyone tell me where and how to publish a book!?!!!Www@QuestionHome@Com

www!.quizilla!.com is a good place to post up your stories!. they publish it for you, so your ideas cant be stolen!. u can post about one a day to keep your readers coming back for more!. (although u can post as many as u want!. i usually like posting one a day)

its great! but make sure to save all ur stuff on your computer because sometimes the site crashes and you have to rewrite it if you were writing it on the web!. a lot of ppl who use quizilla post very long stories, so your book should be fine!. also, readers rate your stuff, so you can have a good idea of what people think of your stories before getting them officially published on paper!.

good luck to you! :)

btw, my URL on quizilla is gummybare76

although it doesnt really work anymore cuz i think someone hacked into it, you can read my stuff if you like!.

see you on quizilla! :DWww@QuestionHome@Com

It's not that easy, dude!.

Don't do anything until you finish the book!. When you finish it, put it aside and start working on something else!. I suggest short stories similar to the big one you wrote!. The next time you pick up your novel and read it, you'll wonder what the hell you were thinking!. This is normal!. The next phase is, "Okay, maybe it's not that bad," and the phase after that is, "I can fix it!."

You will most likely have to rewrite it entirely from first to finish!.

The same will happen with your short stories!. They will seem great when you write them, terrible when you re-read them several months later, but you will learn how to fix them!. Try to get at least five short stories under your belt before you start submitting anything to anyone!.

Then check out www!.writersmarket!.com!. There are a ton of listings there for short story publishers!. You'll have to work several hours a day, querying publishers and entering short story contests, but eventually (if you're any good) you will get your short stories published!. That way you can convince agents and/or publishers to take a chance on your big story!.

There are thousands of agents listed on Writer's Market, too!. If you're lucky, a fraction of them might agree to read your novel if you write them an awesome, but professional, query letter!. The more writing credits you have (published short stories), the more likely they'll consider reading your novel!.

With a ninja novel, I would suggest looking for an agent who handles both novels and screenplays!. Who knows, maybe Hollywood will want to adapt "Shinobi no Mono!."

also, make friends with people who really, really like to read (and become this kind of person yourself)!. I have a friend who actually reads 200+ single-spaced pages of my nonsense in a single day and her criticism is priceless, especially when it is harsh!. People who read a lot are your audience and if you find the right kind, they will tear your work apart with a smile on their faces and force you to be better!.

Agents get thousands of submissions a year!. They won't work with you to make a bad novel good!. They'll only work with you to make a great novel publishable!. Www@QuestionHome@Com
