Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
a tragic hero is someone who doesn't necessarily posses heroic characteristics but nevertheless fights for what he/she knows is right, and ususally in the end dies, hence tragic (death) hero Www@QuestionHome@Com

Tragic hero would be something someone heroically dies for and that over all event this hero dies for has Absolutely no effect towards the real world or the people in it!. Kind of like this heroic act towards a meaningless cause!.

Can you think of anything in mind, eh!? Www@QuestionHome@Com

A tragic hero doesn't always have to die, but normally his victories come at a very high price ie: death of someone he/she loves or loss of something that 's important to him/her!.
You have Eurydice's rescue attempt by Orpheus (not shure you can call him a hero, but in that particular myth he is the one who must undertake the quest, so I think he fits the bill)!.
You have Hercules/Heracles who's cursed by his stepmother Juno/Hera and goes insane killing his family!.!.!.
The hero in classic myths is the one who must undertake the mission at hand, not always is he someone to be looked up because, they (just as the gods) were filled with humans qualities and defects!.
The archetypes of the stories may change but it's always a story about loss even if the hero does succeed in the end, that's what makes it tragic!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
