Me too! Haunted was my favorite of his, my #!1 hooked author is Irvine Welsh though- hooked book Glue and read all of his as soon as they come out! Just wish there were more like them!Www@QuestionHome@Com

I started with Gai-Jin by James Clavell!. It was so good I decided to read the rest of the Asian Saga that he wrote!. Here's the timeline of his books!.

Shogun-1600
Tai-Pan-1841
Gai-Jin-1862
King Rat-1945
Noble House-1963
Whirlwind-1979

Each of the numbers at the end of the book titles represents the year the book takes place!. All the books are the connections between a Japanese Family, a British Family, and a Chinese/Eurasian family as time passes by and descendants of the families are born!. There is also a character that is based on the author who appears in King Rat!.

Yes, I have!. This has happened when I read a book called "White" by Ted Dekker, and I ended up reading most of the rest of his books!. This has also happened when I read Eragon by Christopher Paolini!. Mostly, it's the way that they balance forwarding the plot smoothly with the amount of detail that they give, while still allowing you to use your imagination!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yes, quite frequently!.

It happened where Charles Dickens was concerned - I think I read either A Christmas Carol or David Copperfield first and then all the rest of his, including his short stories!.

Some others whose works so impressed me that I had to read as many of their writings I could find include: Jane Austen, Charlotte Bronte (and Anne), Oscar Wilde, Agatha Christie, Frances Hodgson Burnett (I haven't been able to find all of hers, yet), Lucy Maud Montgomery, Louisa May Alcott, Kate Douglas Wiggin and Eleanor H!. Porter!. There are others, including some more modern writers, but this gives you an idea!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
