Question: What, above all, separates good writing from bad writing!?
Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
Style!. Grammar, spelling, punctuation etc can all be fixed by someone else, but if someone tries to correct stylistic problems they may as well rewrite the whole thing themselves!.

Writers need to develop their own style, and hone it so it is compelling and interesting to others!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Good writing is like all good art forms!. It speaks n the language of the reader, drawing them in to be lost in the story!.

Like a poorly written moveie one should not be thinking "Nobody talks/does that!" it should be natural!. I suggest reading S!. King for an example!. Regardless of the tale it is written in such a way that for a few brief moments it is possible to forget you are reading and get lost in the reality constructed for you by the artist mind!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

writing that captures the readers attention and manages to keep their attention means great writing!. For an author to accomplish that, they must be good!.

But if its dull, and you feel that its painful to 'keep reading' obviously, not so good!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

good writing needs to capture the reader right off and hold their attention throughout!. i think i have ADD and i have zero patience, but when i find a GOOD book, i cant put it downWww@QuestionHome@Com
