Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: first of all, whats this whole craze about twilight!?!?!? my gf keeps talking about it!. whatever but a great book, and my very favorite is "A Separate Peace" By John Knowles!. an amazing book, and if you enjoy reading and getting lost in the mind, or the story of a character, then please consider reading this!. if you just want to be sad and cry at the end (yes, it even made me cry) then this is definately the one for you too!. Www@QuestionHome@Com I know of a sad book, but it's old!. It's not current, like Twilight!. It's by an author named Pearl S!. Buck!. She lived in China and she wrote about the Chinese!. She has a book called "The Mother" It is an extremely sad book!. She wrote about the very poor in China and this book is about a mother's anguish at what happens to her family!. Another sad book is "The Call of the Wild" by Jack London!. It's about the life of a dog, written from the dog's point of view, like "Black Beauty" is about a horse from the horse's point of view, if you ever read that!. But it's very sad!. To the questioner, I'd say the Bible is the saddest book, if you're an Atheist, Sinner, or Christian!. For an Atheist it's sad because it's pathetic; for a Sinner it's sad because you're freaking screwed, and for a Christian it's sad because Jesus died for you and that's just the sweetest thing!.
