Love the sixties too!. Definately 'The Electric Cool-Aid Acid Test' by Tom Wolfe!. Published in 1968 it delves into the experimental acid parties held by Ken Kesey, author of 'One Flew over the Cuckoos Nest', and his band of 'Merry Pranksters'!. It has got it all, sex, drugs and rock n roll, but with a mellow and humourous undertone!.
This book is the essence of the sixties!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Valley of the Dolls!.!.!.it starts earlier than the 60's but will lead you in to them and I think you will like it if you like the 60's era!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
