When an idea comes to you, usually unexpectedly, it is time to write ? and if you can, you should write as long and as often as possible when you're "in the mood" to write!.

Those ideas come from a system that worked not only for me, but for other people who wrote books!. The system focuses on writing your book in a few hours!. It taught me how to stay focused!. Not only did I stay focused, it was a very simple system to use to write my book!. It is a good system!. It worked for me and I know it can work for you!.

It sounds like you have a powerful story to tell that will help thousands and thousands of people and improve their lives!. Don't let your dream of authoring wither and die!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

There are writing courses at college - but if you don't want to go that route, find a writing group you can work with!. Most libraries have writing groups or can put you in touch with one!. Start by writing down vignettes about your father - little things that help build a picture of the man!. When you say your father is a horrible drug addict, that isn't enough to base a story on!. He is many other things!. He was someone's son, someone's husband and someone's father!. He has other associations and relationships as well, and these all contribute to the person that he is!. Sometimes it's easier to read a piece that already deals with this subject matter!. Does it have to be a novel!? Can it be a short story, or even a play, poem or script for a TV !? Eugene O'Neill, for example, created a play "Long Day's Journey into Night" with his mother, who was an addict, as a major character!. The poet Baudelaire and Rimbaud were infamous for drugs!. The great writer Wilkie Collins was an opium addict!. Recently, James Frey's "A Million Little Lies" was a hit!.

Sometimes if you can "feel" how others coped or approached the topic, it may help you see an angle or find the proper media for your writing!. Www@QuestionHome@Com
