Question: Any Kurt Vonnegut fans here!?

I've read all of his novels and most of his essays!. Some are better than others, but all have been enjoyable!. Cat's Cradle, Breakfast of Champions, and Slaughterhouse 5 are classics, of course!. Others, like Timequake and God Bless You, Mr!. Rosewater were relatively weak in comparison!. I highly recommend some of his later works (85-95 or so) as well, even though they're not as famous: Galapagos, Bluebeard, and Hocus Pocus were all good!. Earlier works like Player Piano and Sirens of Titan are probably best read after you're already a Vonnegut fan: there are still funny and insightful moments, but he hadn't quite found his voice yet!.

Come to think of it, though, I've never met anyone who read Vonnegut and didn't like it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

A long time ago, in a Chicago far, far away, my Senior Year English teacher assigned us to read "Cat's Cradle" by Kurt Vonnegut, Jr!. I loved this book, and read the whole thing overnight! The next day I was bursting to tell everyone what happens next, but my teacher made me keep the secrets until the class caught up! Soon I got "God Bless You, Mr!. Rosewater" and the others, including the great "Slaughterhouse Five!."

I think that Mr!. Vonnegut helped shape my young mind; I know he helped give me my distrust of our, and all governments! I felt like I lost a good friend when KV, Jr died!.

So it goes!.

edit: That was a catch phrase he used once, "So it goes!."Www@QuestionHome@Com

Gotta love KVJ alright!
Cat's Cradle, Mother Night, Breakfast of Champions (So nicely illustrated!)- they all rock!
Characters like Billy Pilgrim, Montana Wildhack and those wacky Tralfamadorians made KVJ a staple long ago, back when I devoured everything he'd write!. Rest in peace, KVJ, and thanks for all the insight; a glimpse at your genius!.
So it goes!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Absolutely!.
There are few better across-the-board genre books out there than those written by Vonnegut!.
His death was a very sad day for literature all the way around!.
