She main motivation is her life!.
Abigail publicly accuses her of witchcraft, and now she is trying to scramble together a story to spare herself from punishment!. And her being a slave makes it all that much harder!.
She also clinging to Reverend Hale because he enticed her with promises of protection!. In addition, she uses the opportunity of the accusation to insult Parris, whom she claims the devil told her to kill!.
Essentially, she's spinning up a story so they won't kill her!.
