Question:

I DON'T Like - Harry Potter,Lord of the Rings,Romance,Fantasy or Sci Fi

I Like - Black Comedy, Dark Comedy,Dry Sarcastic,Fiction, basically books someone with a personality of a male Daria or Jane (from daria) or Janeane Garofalo would like that dont fall under the above categories

I AM AN ADULT MALE so also try and limit recommendations to age appropriate stuff

I have a dry and sarcastic sense of humor!.I also want books on the more unconventional side, because I get bored with the same old thing all the time!.I also want something that is a bit of an easy read because I have a short attention span but not too easy or I'd get bored with it!.However I also want something that isn't too predictable because I don't like things I can see the ending a mile away!.

If you haven't already read his work, I recommend Christopher Moore!. Some of his books do delve into fantasy/science-fiction territory, but his biting sarcasm and sense of humor always come first!. I recommend 'Lamb' or 'Fluke' as a good place to start!.

Daniel Handler is another extremely clever author; I particularly recommend his adult novels, 'The Basic Eight' and 'Shut Your Mouth!.'

Dave Eggers also comes to mind!. His novels include 'You Shall Know Our Velocity' and 'What is the What'; in your case, I recommend his first book, the semi-autobiographical 'A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius'!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Artemis Fowl series!. It may come off as a child's book, but the story and humour is truly fit for and adult as well!.

you seem quite different from the usual!.i suggest you read select editions of readers digest!.i have presently two of those books and from what ive read,they are not humorous or anything but reading select versions make my mind shift from one story to a completely different story!.and don't worry none of the editions are in anyway similar to what you do not like!.from what you have mentioned, maybe you should look out for more adventure and mystery kind of books!.you can also try "five point someone"-if you want comedy from an IIT student or just hit a book store and ask for the best sellers, read on their cover pages,buy the book if you like it and keep reading!!!!!Www@QuestionHome@Com
