It doesn't say!. I've seen three films and one live production, and as I recall, he doesn't always do it the same way!. I remember that Olivier stabbed himself in the back of the neck, but not where Orson Welles, James Earl Jones, or Lawrence Fishburn did!. Then another question is where, since the Venetians had disarmed him, he got the weapon!. Olivier flicked a dagger out of his sleeve, and Cassio surreptitiously handed Lawrence Fishburn one--don't remember where it came from in the other two versions!. So evidently it's up to the director and the actor!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I think in the gut/stomach, although I'm not sure that it was explicitly stated!. I don't think he died instantly, and he fell on top of Desdemona, which would suggest that he doubled over after stabbing himself in the stomach :PWww@QuestionHome@Com
