You need to look at some magazines that deal in books!. There are different ways to do it, and 17 pages won't even get them out of the package!. Sometimes they ask for a synopsis, sometimes they want you to send half of the book and if it looks good, they will ask you for the rest of the pages!. You can write to the ads in the magazine and ask what kind of books they handle!. Who will read it for the company and will there be an editor to give you a hand!? Have you thought about who is going to read the book for grammar!? How much are you willing to pay for an editor!? If you know people, or are going to college you can get help there!. If you get tired down, keep trying!. Good luck!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It all depends on what company you want to send it to!. Some want the whole thing, others want the first chapter, and some what an overview of each chapter!. You should probably get a further than 17 pages though, just so you can see if you can come up with enough ideas to fill an entire book!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Check out PublishAmerica!.com Honestly though, I would write a lot more before you actually try to send something in!. You can have an idea started and that is fine but if they accept your idea they won't wait forever for you to send in the final product!. Good luck to you though!Www@QuestionHome@Com

I'd sent it to them finished, edited, and perfected!. They're not gonna publish it if it's only 17 pages! You need to catch their interest!

Plus, if it's only 17 pages, they have no guarantee you will actually finish it!.

Best to send it in once it's done!Www@QuestionHome@Com

"Not quite finished"!? Seventeen pages is far from finished!. And you're already wanting to publish!?
Finish writing, find an agent, find a reliable publisher, and let what will happen!.!.!. happen!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
