I'd have to say yes, anyone can write a book, but whether or not it's good is an entirely different matter!. I think it's something that you feel you have to do, a compulsion and a desire to write that you can't escape!.

A million and one teenagers seem to think they are just destined to be writers but after reading half of the things the people submit on here for critique, I have to say half of them are deluded, and you can clearly tell it is nothing more than a passing fad!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Good writers are not born, obviously, since, to become a proficient writer one must master the requisites of grammar, punctuation, spelling, and style!. Those can only be learned through education which will also include a background in essential knowledge requisite to a potential writer's being able to construct believable and accurate situations for his or her creations!. What a writer (particularly of fiction) must possess which could be inherent is imagination; a vivid source for unique story-telling would certainly be basic to the process!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

I think that really good writers are born with the talent!. But some people could learn how to write by taking courses and practicing, and eventually come up with something good!. Passion for the novel is important too--writers have to passionately care about their work!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Definitely born!. Some people try to write, but they can not for the life of them no matter how hard they try!.

Writers are poetic people from birth, who pay attention to words, spelling, dialogue, and scenery their entire lives!. Not to mention, they have an amazing imagination!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

i think so!.
i dont see how anyone can be made a good writer even if they paid to be one!. i have been a great writer all my life and i was never taught how to be one!. as long as they have a heart for writing, they can be a good writer!.
