If you want to be taken seriously (and your work as well), I suggest you follow the outlines of getting a book published!. You have to send in an excerpt (over view, plot, storyline), your credentials (if you have any) and what makes your story different!. Search on-line about how to submit a query to a literary agent!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

considering how easy it is to type in houghton mifflin and google up their address, why haven't you tried that yet!? They have a webpage!.

and is your book the type they publish (since they are primarily textbooks, not fiction)!?

you've asked this question, and similar ones, recently!. Have you gotten a copy of the writer's market yet!? It has most of the information you're looking for!.

You will, by the way, need to prepare a proposal for a nonfiction book , have adequate credentials in the field, and secure the representation of an agent!. Houghton Mifflin (like most publishers) probably doesn't accept marterials otherwise!.
