Does anyone else find the... -Twilight-?

Question: Does anyone else find the!.!.!. -Twilight-!?

Redundant, detailed descriptions in Twilight, such as the obscene, incomprehensible, absurd kissing scenes for example unnecessary and not romantic !? They disgust me, and I can't imagine them thankfully!.!.

I suppose Twilight is a romance, but I prefer something like what happens in Harry Potter!. Some sort of a clue, and you figure out the rest!.!. No need for unnecessary details!.!. Anyone else is like me !?!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Okay I'll rant a little!.!.!. well I was going to say like jeez some things are so vague like where they are and what they are doing like I could be imagining them like standing normally or something seeing as there is no indication otherwise!.!.!. then suddenly he can be awkwardly kissing her on the chin or edge of the jaw line of something weird like that, like omg, what!!? Why!? WHO does that!? WHY!? Was that necessary in ANY way!? Couldn't he just SAY something!? No!.!.!. he has to brush her and nibble her and stuff :S

Yes!. We get that Edward is hot!. We don't need to hear Bella go on about it for three-hundred pages!. We get that Forks is too cold and too wet and too green and too small and that Bella hates it even though she chose to go there, but we don't need to hear her whine about it at every opportunity she gets!. The kissing scenes I tended to be okay with, but only because Bella was always bound to do something hilarious, like faint, which was so stupid and unrealistic that you couldn't help but wonder if Meyer was being serious!. Unfortunately, she was!. I assume that girls' hearts must regularly give out when attractive boys kiss them where she comes from!.

Overall, though, yes!. Her writing relied constantly on over-describing things and it was very, very annoying!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yes!. I don't even find it romantic; just trashy!. They don't even love each other, they're just obsessed!. Bella just thinks Edward's hot and Edward just thinks she smells good!. I never saw a reason WHY they love each other!.
And the romance scenes!. God!. I think Meyer took them out of trashy romance novels where the author has a pseudonym and there's always an attractive man and a half-naked woman on the cover!. It just adds to the fact that there's NO romance!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Although they were a little!. !. !.too much, for me, I understood them in the context of a vampire story!. Here's why:

Edward is very much drawn to Bella, but in Twilight, he is struggling still with his thirst for her blood, as terribly un-romantic as that sounds!. In the human body, Bella's physiological reactions speed up and increase the blood flow - and probably increase the vampire's thirst!. I believe Ms!. Meyer's reasons for mentioning the wild heartbeat, the flushed cheeks, etc, was to bring that reaction out in the open so we see that Edward is challenged by it!.

After Twilight, when Edward no longer had a problem with it, as in the end of New Moon, I think she toned it down just a -little-!. Hope this helps!.:) Www@QuestionHome@Com

Anyway, I dont have as strong an opinion as you on the Twilight front because I love the mushy stuff XD but I really do think half of it is pointless rubbish!.
Harry Potter is 10 miles in front of Twilight and it always will be, I don't think a book will ever match it!. Maybe 200 years from now!? Possibly!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Thats what the whole series is about!.!. them and how they love eachother, and how they deal with the complications of immortalety!.
Its cool though, everybody has there own taste in books and i guess romance isnt for you!.

Yes, I felt it was mostly a 'dressed up' romance!. The writing is not very complex and I found it very stupid that she is never scared at all of him,!.!.!. hello! Vampire! She justs accepts that he's a vampire and so is his whoel family, no biggie!. Where is the conflict!? Anyhow I found it so simplistic!. The second book got better, but not enough for me to read 3 and 4!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Its longer than it needs to be!. Detail in a story is good but the author goes to far into, and explains almost everything!
In some parts it explains her day in to much detail and it becomes redundant Www@QuestionHome@Com
