How do you Lj cut on live journal without posting the whole story on the communi

Question: How do you Lj cut on live journal without posting the whole story on the community page!?

Can somebody please show me how to lj cut !?I have tried everything but I end up posting the whole story on the community page,or not posting enough!.A very thouruogh ,simplified version will be greatWww@QuestionHome@Com

1!. Make sure you write your post using Rich Text, not HTML!.

2!. When you have written everything you want to, high-light the text you want under the cut

3!. Find the LJ-cut icon!. It's on the top line, 4 icons from the left - looks like 3 lines with a pointy line underneath!.

4!. Click this - a box will appear asking what title you want for your 'cut'!. You can leave this as 'Read more!.!.!.' and click OKAY, or change if you want!.

5!. The End!. Your communities will thank you for not spamming their f-lists :)

I used to be flummoxed by it myself, because it doesn't show up if you preview your post - so i always thought I'd done it wrong lol!Www@QuestionHome@Com
