Question: My friend and i are writing a book together and ive moved away but shes not written since december!?
okay so we are writing a book and im in love with it its my baby!! Ive recently moved away and i want to finish it!! we had been taking turns writing half a chapter before Christmas i gave it to her for her turn and shes only wrote one page since then!! i love this book and i want to finish it but shes not committing to it! its obvious she like the book too but it doesn't mean nearly as much to her as me i just want to tell her im going to finish it but i know it will hurt her feelings BUT shes not written since CHRISTMAS you know what ive done!? re written it 4 times!.!.!.

You need to communicate with her, of course; if she hasn't written anything since last December, she obviously is NOT committed to the book!. Just call her or email her and discuss the situation; simply ask her whether she wants to continue collaborating with you, and, if so, then explain that you are devoted to finishing the story and need for her to do her part soon, if not immediately, so that you two can complete it!. If she won't continue with her portion, and you truly do want to finish the story, ask her if you can take over the writing!. It is quite unfair of her to leave you in limbo wondering whether she is ever going to write her portion, but you must take the initiative to broach the subject with her, or nothing further will ever transpire! Write my own book!. If it gets published and by some freak chance makes a killing - I already have to share some of the expenses with the IRS - it'd be a drag to have to share more of the expenses!. Greedy, I know!. But hey, it's my work, I'll do what I want to do!. Business among friends is always risky!.
Probably the book you're talking about won't get published pronto, no offense, but it's reality!. And probably if it did get published it won't be paying for much!. So I'm thinking hypothetically here!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
I completely understand I'm writing a few books myself, and they have become my life!. I'm always thinking of them and what could happen next!. Although they seem to create themselves at times!.
Maybe your friend has hit a writers block!. If you word things right she won't be insulted!. You could talk to her about it and mention that it seems to you that she's hit a snag volunteer to help her with it!. Maybe if you work on it a little more she could have another burst of ideas!.

You could talk to her about it, and how you feel!. She's your friend and should understand!. You can keep her in the loop by asking her to edit it for you!. Distance becomes a problem having to send things back and forth but not imposable!.
If it was me I would finish it!.
