You should probably explain what book or film about Arthur you are referring to!? After all, they have different characters!. And it is not clear what you mean by “use chivalry”!. I will take it that you mean “practice knighthood”!. If you mean something else, then you should say so!.

One general Arthurian character, might be Guenevere, because she is a woman!. And I'm not being sexist here!. It is Arthurian society that is sexist!. There are no female knights in Arthurian tales, until one comes to Britomartis in Spenser’s “The Fairie Queen”, which is a bit late to be genuine Arthurian legend!.

One can use the same reasons for Arthur's mother Igerne/Igraine, for his sisters incuding Morgaine la Fay, for Nimu?/Ninnian/Vivien who is also called the Lady of the Lake, and for any other women!.

A second character might be Merlin!. Though there doesn’t appear to be any particular reason why Merlin might not have been a knight, like the magical knight Maugris or Maligigi in some tales of Charlemagine!. But Merlin is usually called a prophet and one doesn’t expect prophets to normally be knights!. Why Merlin isn’t a knight we aren't told!. But he isn’t, and he doesn't use chivalry!.

Similarly any clerk or member of the clergy will not use chivalry!. And any commoner, will not use chivalry, unless he becomes knight, in which case he is no longer a commoner!. Same with serfs!. And most pure giants, And most dwarfs!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I love that movie! Ok, so, chivalry is respecting the knight code right!? Umm!.!.!.hm, well that one snitch who betrayed his people to the saxons, he was the one who got shot in the tree near the end, although he wasn't a knight so I don't know if he would count!.!.!.
None of the knights in that movie, at least not King Arthurs, didn't use chivalry!. I'm sorry this question has confused me and lead you in a circle!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
