CHAPTER 1:
(Killer: Echo)
He stood there motionless!. It was hard to think of him as lifeless!. His blood trickled down his throat as I slowly licked my lips!. My head throbbed as my throat burned impatiently, I couldn’t resist his smell!.
His smell was amazing, but it didn’t distract me enough from my memory!. I had killed the dark haired man!. He had kids and a wife!. I stared into his blue eyes trying to resist!. I wasn’t happy with killing, but I was so thirsty!.
I couldn’t hold myself back any longer!.
Then everything was a flash, like I wasn’t myself anymore!. His skin was soft as I bit into his neck!. Blood was stopping me from realizing what I was doing!. All I could focus on was how good he tasted!.
I savored his blood as if I hadn't eaten for days!. I wiped off the evidence from my face as I heard footsteps!.
A woman screamed in horror as I looked at her face!. She ran away and I chuckled at her fear!. She had it all wrong, I wasn’t after her race!.
(Detective: Mitchell)
“Please, calm down!.” The detective told her!. “What did she look like!?”
The woman shook and replied softly!. “I can’t remember!” She squeezed her eyes shut in disappointment!.
“Thank you Mrs!. Harrison, if you can remember anything please call!.” The detective said, sighing!.
“Mitchell, how did it go!?” An officer asked as he rushed in!.
“Rolland, it’s been the fourth time this week!. The only thing people can report is a mysterious girl sucking people’s blood!. What is she, a vampire!?” Detective Mitchell grumbled!.
(Echo)
I slammed the door shut!. The owner wouldn’t shut up about how I haven’t been paying rent and how pretty soon I’ll be kicked out of my apartment!.
I went to the bathroom and washed my face, forgetting the urge to kill him!. Humans seemed to be the most annoying race!. I dried my face and walked out of the bathroom!.
I turned on the television and listened to their crazy reports!.
A certain report caught my ear after several moments later!. “A case the police can’t figure out!. As reported from the witnesses to the crime there is a girl, known to be a vampire who sucks blood from the victim!. Here are a few statements from the downtown police department who are working on the case!.” A man boomed!.
The camera switched to a plump man with a fake mustache!. “We will find the woman who is doing this and put her behind bars!. Excuse me!.” The plump man walked away and started to talk to another police man!.
I shut off the television and chuckled!. “What are they going to do put garlic on me!?” I asked myself!.
I then found it insulting!. I was more powerful than the vampires!.
My race is the Chanars!. Chanars steal powers by sucking their blood!. I, Echo am the only known person left of my kind and plan to keep it that way!. To some we are villains and to others we are heroes!.
