One or two companies in the US are making computers for Africa that are powered by solar panels, hand cranks or pull cords (kind of like a lawnmower cord or the pull cord on a toy)!. I forget the companies but they were on "60 Minutes"!. Oh and recycle shops that either strip old computers of recyclable parts or ones that pick apart old computers and build renewed hybrid computers out of the pieces!.Www@QuestionHome@Com Uhm, I guess turning the screen off could help reduce the cost for the electric bill!. Or turn off the computer when you're done using it!. You could also limit the amount of time you use on the computer (it takes practice!), like use it for school-related work only!. Unplug the big PC plug when your done using it, even when your computer is off, it uses energy!. it wont stop "sucking" the energy until you unplug it!.
