Question: I'm writing a book!.!.!.!. and I'm having some troubles!.!.!. help!?
OK, now my dad won't let me get a laptop for writing, he think I'm too young!. So I am forced to use our Kid's Computer which is almost always occupied, so I never have time to write!. I used to write by hand, but now I can't!. Anyways, I've been writing this book for a couple of months now and I am almost done with the first chapter (that's how much time I get on the computer) and I have some AWESOME ideas, and I write them all down, but I don't know how to incorporate them into my story! All I have is a mess of ideas and 1 chapter of an unfinished book!. Should I wait until I have all my ideas before continuing with the book!? Or should I make it up as I go along!? Please help, and I will chose a best answer!. Thanks in advance!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

My gosh, DO I KNOW how you feel! You have all these geat scenes i your head so you wite them down, but going over them again, you can't really see how they'll fit together!. Is that about close!?

The way i got over that (or at least minimized the frustration of having to cast away a briliant piece just because it didn't fit) was by trying to get orgonized!. I'd write down the scenes and didn't care about where or when they would fit in!. As long as they were from ther eyes of the same chaacter, it didn't matter!. I had gold and i was going to use it!.

So now that i had a few good points on with i knew i could make somthing to be proud of, i wrote a story line that fit the perspective of the main chacter!. With a main direction in mind, i wrote a breif summery of what the story shoud resemble when it was done!. So with a diresction and foundation, I wrote down scene by scene what i wanted to have and hown the story would happpen (by the way, the chapter by chapter part took me about a month, so don't be to hard on yourself it the perfect play-by-play dosn't happen in a split second)

With the chapters allready planed out and at least a quarter of the book ramdomely writen, all i had to do was fill in the blanks around what i had writen!. started with 14 diffrent screan ranging form love stories to fist fights!. With only a minor ajustment hear and there I haven't had to throw one away yet!.!.!.and i finished four chapters in the time it would have taken me to write one!

Just make a plan that works for you!. Somthing that can fill in the blanks between the masterpieces i'm sure are sitting on that note pad waiting the be a part of something even better!.

Just remember!. As longs as you do't go changing the personality of your main chactor allmost any scene can go any where!. Find what works for you and make it work!.

I'll be looknig for you on the best sellers list ;) Www@QuestionHome@Com

I think it would be best to have an over view of ur whole story before you start continuingg ur book!. And to write down all of ur ideas for a plot and then u can change them if u want as u go along!.

I would not advise to make it up as u go along, because u could make the story confusing!.

Hope it helped! :)Www@QuestionHome@Com

What works for me is writing down ideas that i may or may not put into the story!. Then you kind of just let it flow, working towards the place you want you're characters to end up!. And, I'm curious as to why you can't write by hand!. In my personal experience this is better, because most people write faster then the type, and also think faster then they type!. Sometimes it's best to do the first draft by hand, and then retype it on the computer!. That way you can just let it flow without being distracted by all the red and green squiggly lines telling you you're doing something wrong!. This is especially so with the green lines, which aren't always correct!.

Happy Writing, I wish you luck!. Www@QuestionHome@Com
