i miss reading harry potter so much and thank u for asking the question to remind me just how brilliant the book is!.!.
about ur question: i highly believe that dumbledore loved harry and didn't see it the way harry described it (that he only cared for him long enough to have him killed in the end) he was not from the many people that worshipped him for getting rid of voldemort or thought he was a phenomenon for such an unexplaned act but he did think highly of harry having encouraged him to do lots of work in school and know about things that alot never knew (like at the first when he probably knew harry was going to find the stone and le him have the adventure, also he had the power to disagree in putting harry in the triwizard tournament but he didn't because he wanted harry to experience these things and to skill him in the hope that when he meets voldemort in the end he'd be ready and a chance of survival can always be considered)
anyway ths care that dumbledore showed harry i think it started more in the 6th but in the before books he was merely the headmaster with noo connection to harry (he didn't speak with him or tell him of what the prophecy is in the order of the phoenix, he didn't tell him how his parents had really died not until the end of the 5th and the 6th that he started to look like a father to harry) so we can't say he wanted him dead or even if he didn't want to get involved with harry he did admire him because after all harry would be dong the thing that non wizard not even him "the great dumbledore" could do
yes i think harry truly mourned him and he described that several times in the 7th actually i really felt very angry at harry for beliveing in rita skeeter in the 7th and in actually disbeliving in dumbledore's methods!.!.!.!.!. i think he thought highly of dumbledore to consider him a friend or even a father he was more like the person he looked up to!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

yes dumbledore did care for harry!. Harry trusted dumbledore so i think that is some sort of affinity!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!. and harry felt very sad when dumbledore died(in fact he was angry i think!.) Harry didn't consider dumbledore as a father because it said in the book that harry thought that sirius was like his father, and harry thought that dumbledore was like a grandfather to him(im not xur)and a friend!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I think dumbledore truly fathered harry better then Uncle Vernon and Aunt petunia would ever do!.
I think dumbledore truly felt bad that both Harry's parents had died!.
Dumbledore always protected Harry!.!.!.and I was ver devestated when read he died in the sixth book!.
I never thought Dumbledore would ever die(seeing that he's so old)!.
I cant wait untill the sixth movie comes out!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
