Question: Have you ever noticed how weird it is to read a book that was written before the Internet hit the scene!?

I'm mainly talking about non-fiction books!.
It's almost like you can tell that the author was feeding you a lot of bull-**** and preaching their own biased crap , knowing that there was no easy way for you to call him on his lies!.
But now , you can spend 5 minutes online disproving half of what he wrote!.
Or, in other, less cynical examples!.!.!.it just seems like something weird is missing when you read a book from 1992, even though it was just a couple years before the internet!.
DO you know what i mean!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

No, I just assume you're somewhat naive about how much information is actually on the internet!. Most of what is on the net is just opinions, abstracts and reviews by people who actually read the printed work!. You don't get any actual proof of a theory, you just get someones opinion who read the original book!. You don't find the actual document or doctoral thesis, you just find someone who read the book and wrote a single page magazine essay based on it!.

Just because you can access fifty or a hundred people who claim a book is bunk, doesn't prove it actually is bunk!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I've noticed that greater number of idiots have started believing everything they agree with is fact since the internet hit the scene!.

DO you know what I'm talking about!? People have become too lazy to verify sources and just select what they like!. Morons, everywhere!. Largely to be blamed on the internet, you know!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

but I look at in another type of light, where you can get a better feel for the world as they knew it around them!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!. trust me I am NOT that old but I can recall not having a cell phone and the internet, good grief can even recall it being a HUGE deal for my kids for us to be one of the very first amongst their friends to actually have and own a computer in our house!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.

but you are right with each passing generation what seems odd to my parents is natural for my age group and so it goes on down the line!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I've noticed a lot of nonfiction books these days are incredibly dumbed down!.

I guess it's what they call infotainment!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
