I was looking at what sort of things agents look for in a manuscript and it said: 'Single-space your query letter, and keep it to one page!. Double-space your manuscript and synopsis!.'

Double spacing would mean pushing enter and having a space between each line like!.

Normally, if you use microsoft word you can go to Format and then Paragraph, and then it has a section with Spacing and it gives you the option to make it automatically double spaced!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

single spacing is where there is no space between one line or the next, such as in this sentence!.

Double spacing is where you leave spaces between your lines

when you type, such as in this sentence here!.

Double spacing is also the preferred format for just about any essay you will ever write!. (Don't we all just love MLA format!?)

Double spacing would be hitting the spacebar twice between each word:

Single spacing is just the regular space!.
