im reading cold mountain by charles frazier
its for school, and because of that i thought it would be absolutely terrible
but its turning out to be one of the best books i have ever read, frazier is a genius for describing nature, probably one of the most vivid books i have read in terms of nature
and its nothing like the movie trailer made it out to be, it actually much more of an adventure, which i love

i highly reccoment it if you are looking for books, even if you dont think its your "type" (it certainly didnt seem like mine!)

Nelson Algren's Texas Stories

Some are great, some are good!. I'm left with the feeling that if he'd ever written an East of Eden or Grapes of Wrath, school kids would be reading his short stories instead of Steinbecks!. Lacking a novel greater than Man with a Golden Arm, he'll forever languish in Steinbeck's shadow!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Just finished Brisingr and it was really good!. I've enjoyed the whole series so far and now I'm rereading Ayn Rand's The Fountainhead!. I try to read it twice a year as it is one of my faves!. I read alot of the classics personally and when I finish The Fountainhead I'm going to start back in on Voltaire!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Brisingr by Christopher Paolini

It's the third in the Inheritance Saga!. The books are Eragon, Eldest, and Brisingr (so far, but a book four is being written)!. It's really great, and the saga is by far one of my favorites!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
