Question: Fahrenheit 451 Analysis Questions! !?
Hello!

I've read the book and I LOVED IT!

Well, my teacher is making us do an essay and we already turned in the book!

I know Montag symbolizes metamorphosis, and I know that Clarisse changed Montag, but can you give me some examples!? I already stated that he realized books were not to be burned, and that he didn't know his wife!. What else did she change about him!?

THANKS SO MUCH! =DWww@QuestionHome@Com

Clarisse changed his view of the world, simply by making him take time to stop and think!.
Clarisse did not change Montag's world, but simply made him look at it!. For instance, she made him see, or rather smell, rain!. 'It smells like wine,' she says!.
She also combines their present day life with life 'back then' She does this by mentioning how small billboards used to be!.
Finally, by constantly referring to her uncle, she is showing the importance of family bonds, something missing in that time period, and also the extreme knowledge that is come to be known as wisdom; her uncle has wisdom, and therefor is able to support facts with ideas and thought, which the society at that time was lacking!.

In short, Clarisse chowed Montag to take a minute to stop and think, made him realize history and the past, and finally she showed him the importance of family and wisdom over knowledge!.

She made him question his happiness and she made him more aware of everything like the Mechcanical dog!. Not much but that's about it, you listed the first two (^_^)Www@QuestionHome@Com
