Can i pick up a library book i put on hold even if the library does not have tha

Question: Can i pick up a library book i put on hold even if the library does not have that book at their branch!?

im trying to get Falling Angels by Barbara Gowdy, but the closest library to me does not have that book, other branches which are too far from my location do have the book!. I put the book on hold online from my closest library, does that mean that the book will be delivered to that branch or do I have to wait or will I have to go to the other branches to pick it up!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

I do it all the time!. They will send the item to whichever location you choose to be your pick-up location!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yeah that's how pretty much all the libraries work, but I would call ahead to make sure they already deliverred it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
