There are the four March sisters (Meg, Jo, Beth, and Amy)!. They live with their mom, Marmee while their father is fighting in the war!. The March are very angry because their mom asked them to give up their Christmas presents and their Christmas breakfast, but they agreed!. They are running very low on money, so instead of spending their money on themselves they put their money together to but their mom a Christmas present!. Jo March is the second oldest of the March girls!. She is a definite tomboy and gets in trouble a lot!. Meg March is the oldest of them!. She is a simple pretty girl who looks for the brighter things in life!. Beth March is the third oldest!. She is a very timid and shy girl that loves life, her dolls, and her cat!. Amy March is the youngest of them all!. She loves art with a passion and she thinks she is the center of the world!. The mother Marmee is a very sweet person!. She is trying to raise her girls to become little women!. The father is at war!. Laurie the neighbor’s grandson charms the March girls!. They all think he is really cute!. Mr!. Laurence takes care of his grandson!. Hannah is the servant!. The girls always go to her for anything!. Jo and Meg are invited to a party at their friend house, the Gardiners!. They both dress up in their best clothes!. Jo meets Laurie they talk and become great friends!. Jo gets a secret crush on him!. Jo sprains her ankle and Laurie takes them home in a carriage!. After Christmas and New Year passes they return back to their normal jobs!. Meg is a governess and Jo helps their Aunt March in the library!. Beth and Amy are both going to school but Beth studies at home and helps with house keeping!. This book Little Women gives great pictures in your head and also in the book there is a picture every other picture!. This book makes you feel like one of the March sisters!. I’m not kidding I felt like I was a character in the book!. I could not put this book down!. You are one of the March sisters when they are giving their Christmas presents away!. That would be really hard to do!. This book is an awesome book to read!. This book was hard to put down!. The author did a great job telling the story of the March sisters!. I hope you read this and read this book!. You will like this book!.
