Question: Holes (Book), how does digging holes build character!?
I need some help on my english essay, becuase my class is studying on a book called Holes by Louis Sachar!. The essay topic is: Mr!. Sir says digging holes builds character!. Do you agree with this when you consider the character of the Novel!? Www@QuestionHome@Com

It doesn't help build character at all, because digging holes won't teach them any life lessons, or show them right from wrong!. The only thing it teaches it is to work hard and fast!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

mr!.sir just says that because he's a idiot - but don't say that in your essay

I do NOT agree that it does!. This is because Mr!. Sir uses that as an excuse to make what he is making the boys do look like a good thing!. He is making it look like he is doing them a favour, when clearly the boys are helping Mr!.sir - well actually the warden - to do a favour!.
The way they(Mr,sir, the warden) makes them dig the holes DOES not help them to build good character, but really build more of a BAD character!. It makes the more aggitated and sore and annoyed - which is why they tend to get into arguments a lot!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

i guess!.!.!.!.!. well it teaches you not to give up easily!.!.!.i guess!.!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
