Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
I love RAYMOND E FEIST! Have you read his books!?

I would begin with his latest series because his writing skill has improved so much since his first novels!.!.!.!. So The DarkWar series is a good start!.

I hope/expect you have read Garth Nix- Sabriel, Lireal, Abhorsen!? I hope so! If you havn't!.!.!. these were my favourite!.

This is a quirky series!.!.!. fantasy!.!.!.!. its called Monster Blood Tattoo!.!.!. so original! Really great!.

The Hobbit is so great!.

I will think of some others and come back here and post them!.!.!.

You prolly have read Twighlight!.!.!. ect
-The Hitchhickers guide to the galaxy 'triligy in four parts' loved them!
-Tamora Peirce!.!. all of hers!? They are great!. Start from the beginning!.
A great book is The Book of Lost Things by John Connoley!. READ THIS one if you havn't!.

Jonothan Stroud is great!.

Yeah, i love the Inheritance Cycle so much!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

If you like the Inheritance Cycle (as I did) you'll love The Obsidian Trilogy by Mercedes Lackey and James Mallory!. Has some parallels with Inheritance but is better written with an even more interesting plot!. A second related series has been partly released!.

also read Raymond E Feist's Riftwar saga beginning with Magician!. i've enjoyed his later books set in the same world, but think you should begin at the beginning!. I also particularly enjoyed his Empire series (also set in the same world) which was co-written with Janny Wurtz though there's very little magic in it!.

Try Robin Hobb's Farseer Trilogy and the closely related Tawny Man trilogy!. Her Liveship Traders series is also related, but is slower moving than the other two!.

also excellent are Jennifer Fallon's Hythrun Chronicles and her Demon Child Trilogy!. Hythrun is the prequel and is better read first!.

If you want something really unusual with a dragon as the main character, read the Temeraire series by Naomi Novik!. The first book is called either Temeraire or His Majesty's Dragon (depending on your country)!. Temeraire is one of the most appealing characters you'll ever come across and the plots are very clever, complex and interesting!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I've got two for you!.
The first - The Casca - Immortal Warrior, Series of books by Barry Sandler!. A VERY different story line, not so much sci-fi, but definitely gets the fantasy mind excited!. Look it up before you buy it to see if that is something you may like!.

Next an author as opposed to a series!. - ANYTHING by Andre Norton!. She is a wonderful multi-genre writer!. She has written some series, but any of her works is great!. Poetry too!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Chronicles of the King's Tramp (3 books: 1!. Walker of Worlds (1990) 2!. The End of Everything Man (1991) 3!. The Last Human (1992)) by tom de haven!.!. just great if you like "modern times" set fantasy!.!.
It rivals in my own rating with the Word & Void series by Terry Brooks (1!. Running with the Demon (1997) 2!. A Knight of the Word (1998) 3!. Angel Fire East (1999)) a 90's series which sets things running for The Genesis of Shannara series (Armageddon's Children, Elves of cintra, The gypsy morph)!. Good reading!.
