Question: Why does everyone like the 'Twilight' series!?
I read the book Twilight by Stephanie Meyer because it came so highly recommended by just about everyone I know!.

It was ok, but I don't see what the big fuss was all about!. I thought it was very predictable, it was nothing new!. I think it was just another one of those mushy teen love stories!.

The book was well written and everything, Stephanie Meyer used very vivid details, but I just saw everything coming!.

So my question is, why do you like the books!? Why does everyone treat these books as if they are some kind of Shakespearean lore!? Www@QuestionHome@Com

I don't really like the books although I have only read the first one!. There are a few reason I think people like it
1!.) It's really easy to read and goes by really fast!.
2!.) All the things that happen are the things that you want to happen!.
3!.) Girls love Edward Cullen!. I think a lot of people like the whole concept of "he's dangerous, but not to me because I'm special :)" because of course they imagine themselves as being Bella, and they would probably make a better Bella anyway!.

I really don't like it thought because it was really predictable and nothing happened for the first like 9/10s of the book and suddenly at the end there was a conflict!. I really don't like the characters that much and I don't really think there was any twist at all, even though it was, it was stupid!. I don't plan to read any of the other ones but I guess you never know what will happen!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I like these books because it's all about forbidden love, similar to Romeo and Juliet!. A love so strong that nothing can break the two, but it's also a wrong and dangerous one as well!. This only makes me, as a reader, more interested in what happens after, with their unfortunate relationship!. also the way the Author describes Edward is much like a perfect boyfriend, and makes you feel like your in Bella's shoes (since she is the narrator) and that just makes you wonder what will happen later with such a strong love, that is only considered wrong because they are from 2 different worlds!.

HOWEVER, you can't treat these books like Shakespeare's work!. Those are the classics!. I just think people take their love for the book a little to far, only because of the way EDWARD is described and acts!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

I used to like the books because I wished I had a sexy and sparkling vampire coddling me every 2 seconds!.

But then the realization set in!. Bella is a frigging idiot, and sparkling people - whether they be fantasy or not - are just wrong!. I also noticed all the flaws and crap in the plot and the writing in general!.

What really grinds my gears about Twilight now, is how bad the characterisation and character development is!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I liked them a lot, but I'm not sure they're quite Shakespearean!. I do recommend them to people, but not as a life-changing book or anything!. Just something awesome to get lost in!. And it's such an easy read!.

Most people who read the books, however, are young teenage girls!. That's the intended audience!. I'm sure, to those that don't read very often, it IS a great book!. It's probably rare that they find something they're interested in enough to read 500 pages of it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I hate the Twilight series!. They are not well written in my opinion!. Its full of crap!. The characters have no personality and the plot has holes everywhere!. Bella is a whiny, immature girl and Edward is an abusive, stalking vampire!. They fall in love after a round of questions!. Edward also likes sniffing Bella which i find disturbing!. I don't know why people compare these books to Shakespeare and HP!. I wouldn't even call this series literature!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

that also what I wanna know!.
I read the book before any of my friend and after it i was like 'yeah it was good' and then I was over it on to the next book!. But then when it spread through my friends (pretty much all the girls on campus) were acting as though it was the best thing ever written, it was like there god or something!. I just don't get it!. How can people fantasise about someone who's just in a book!? It makes no sense to me!
So anyway im with you on this one!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

because in its own way it is! i mean you got two very different people who dont belong in each others world at all and despite everything thats against them they make it work they end up happily together!. i guess its a whole new type of fairy tale with your knight in shinning armour!.!.!.!.!.i loved it and look forward to the movieWww@QuestionHome@Com
