no it's my favorite book but I do read the twilight saga and the book can be complicated at times but once you read further into it it's amazing you should try getting the version that clarifies things like Joseph’s language and terms that were only used at that time it can be very helpful I hope you continue reading it and it's kind of similar to the twilight books in a way you'll see that if you keep reading : )<3Www@QuestionHome@Com

I read Wuthering Heights in high school!.!.!. But that's been like 11 years ago!. I don't remember much about the story!. But I do remember something about a character's father or something drank himself to death!. But I may be getting my stories mixed up!.

I do remember thinking that the story was dreary and not so exciting!. And it's kind of posh!.

The literary credential lies in that the characters are the ones who really "write" the story!. There is also some detailed description that creates archetypal scenery image in the mind of the reader!. That is!.!.!. if you can stand it!.

Try reading Finnegan's Wake!. I got that book when I was 18!. I had read some Joseph Campbell and he regularly makes mention to it!. However, the book is very stream of conscience and written in a heavy Irish dialect!. It's been 10 years and I still haven't had the patience to get through more than 30 or so pages!.

I still like to read intellectual stuff but I've been moving to more entertaining books and not choking myself on the "classics" I don't care for!. And I don't want to be in a crummy mood just for the sake of sophistication!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I'm reading that book because I read Charlotte Bronte's book, Jane Eyre and I found that really boring so I thought maybe Charlotte's sister, Emily's book might be better!. I find it very boring and sometimes it really is hard to understand!. all I know is that Heathcliff and Catherine were in love and all but she married the wrong guy and then died after giving birth and Heathcliff is really mean and Lockwood learns all that from the housemaid, Nelly!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I read it because my grammie bought it for me!. I liked it!. It's supposed to be confusing in the beginning!. Try to read the first few chapters, and then it gets good!. You won't regret reading it-- it's a classic for a reason!. The story is really entertaining and somewhat strange and sad!.
Expand your horizons!. Read something that will challenge you, rather than having each little detail of the main character's life spelled out for you in very simple, somewhat sub-standard writing, as in Twilight!. Admittedly, Bronte's writing differs dramatically from SMeyer's for several reasons!. One being the time difference between the two authors!. *cough* And there are others!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

No, I read it because it's a classic and I wanted to read it!. Bella had nothing to do with it-- actually, I was kind of offended Smeyer had the nerve to use a classic in her novel!. (*chants* BLASPHEMY! DESECRATION! *end chants*)

I didn't have difficulty understanding it!. The writing is different than what out time period is used to, but that's because our time period's language is so incredibly dumbed down!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Nope, I read it cause the class that I'm taking requires me to read at least 6 famous classics, and I chose Wuthering Heights as one of them, that's all!. But it is a really good book, once you get over the beginning!. I was kinda surprised that they had than twilight, not that I see much a connection between those two books!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Oh no, I'm much too old for that, but what a great book (Wuthering Heights)!. I'm sure Twilight is good too!. I'd like to read it when my son is done with it!. BTW, we drove through Forks, Washington on a family vacation this summer!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Um, no because:
A) Twilight is a horrible book and anything it promotes I would hate
B)I read it because it's an amazing book

I didn't, but my sister did!. And I thought that was weird!. No offense lol!.!.!. I tried reading Wuthering Heights just for fun, but it was written in old english, so I got bored and stopped!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

We have a tape for that!. I have watched that video and it's very good!. The story is great! It's better if you watch it rather than reading it!. Www@QuestionHome@Com
