Anna !. Yes the Nobel Prize is still given to a person each year !. But lets start at the beginning , Alfred Bernard Nobel was born in 1833 In Sweeden!.This man became a Sweedish Chemist!.his main intrust was to discover and develope explosives!.And he studied at Stockholm!. In this town at the Univercity he invented an effective means of making nitrolycerine that was safe to handle!. In 1867 he invented dynamite !.
Alfred Bernard Nobel died in Sweeden in 1896 making him 63 years old!. He sold his manufactoring of what i have mentioned and he made a large fortune!. In English money over [2,000!.000 pounds] was left to an establistment of five prizes this was to be awarded annually for literature,medicine,[or physiology],phycis,and chemistry!.THE 5 awards were to be set up yearly from anywhere in the world and was to be called The Nobel Prizes of Peace!. The first one to be given out in Nobels peace awards was in 1901!. Hope this explaines to you a little !.
