I have just started the Fellowship of the Ring and i'm finding it very hard ot put down because i love it that much

I am hoping to read it quite quickly i have been reading it for three days, while going to school for six and half hours and doing three hours of homework a night and on chapter five!. Every minute at school i start reading again just so i can find out a bit more about the adventure Www@QuestionHome@Com

First, let's do the math!. The complete trilogy I think contains something on the order of half a million words!. The average reading speed for an American college graduate is supposed to be on the order of 250 words per minute!. Now, as Tolkien is not the easiest writer to read, and Lord of the Rings has complex speech everywhere, let's say 200 words per minute!.

Done this math, you may expect to spend 500,000 / 200= 2,500 minutes reading it!. So, if you consistently read one hour a day, it may take you about two weeks each book or six weeks total!.

Now, in my case it took me about six months and not six weeks to read, but by then, I was still grasping with my English!. Indeed, I should read it again, as I don't think I fully understood it the first time I read it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It depends on your reading speed really!. also your abilty to undersntad some of the high speech it uses at times!. So I'd say about two weeks tops!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It depends how persistent, your reading level, and how fast you read!. it took me about 3 days!. :] so maybe three days to a week or two!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
