Question: What are some really good books to read for someone who loves "romantic suspense"!? !?
What are some books you would recommend for a 23 year old who loves romantic suspense novels!? I have read all of Stephanie Meyer's books of the Twilight Saga and I really loved them!. I actually became a little addicted, and I'm hoping to find some more books that are similar to them!. I have also started reading Kay Hooper books and I enjoy her as well!. I am just looking for some more readings that will have me fall in love with the characters and have the suspense that keeps me turning the pages!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
Karen Robards has written some very good romantic suspense novels like Heartbreaker!. Kay Hooper's books are really good, as you know!. If you haven't read it, I'd highly recommend After Caroline!.

The Lemon Garden by Elizabeth Rossiter was a very good read!.

Elizabeth Adler has written some good ones like The Secret of the Villa Mimosa!.

Julie Garwood has written some good ones like The Heartbreaker and Killjoy!.

Linda Howard is another author who has written some good romantic suspense novels like All the Queen's Men, Dream Man, Dying to Please and others!.

You might also enjoy some of Jayne Ann Krentz's novels, like Eye of the Beholder, (or her historical romantic suspense novels written as Amanda Quick - like Slightly Shady)!.

Christina Skye's Draycott Abbey series was very good!. It starts with Hour of the Rose (and features a ghost)!.

There's Heather Graham (Drop Dead Gorgeous; Tall, Dark and Deadly or as Heather Graham Pozzessere-Angel of Mercy), Laura Hastings (The Nightingale's Secret), Tami Hoag (Cry Wolf), Elizabeth Lowell (Amber Beach) and Nora Roberts (Hidden Treasures)!.

You may enjoy some of Sandra Brown's (usually steamy) romantic suspense stories like The Alibi!.

Catherine Coulter has written some interesting ones, though I enjoy her FBI series best, starting with The Cove!.

Some of Jennifer Blake's are worth looking into (like Garden of Scandal)!.

My favorites in this genre are a bit older: Phyllis A!. Whitney (The Trembling Hills, Black Amber, Window on the Square and many others), Mary Stewart (Airs Above the Ground, Touch Not the Cat, Nine Coaches Waiting, The Ivy Tree and many others) and Victoria Holt (hers are historical-Kirkland Revels, The Devil on Horseback, The House of the Thousand Lanterns and many others; she also wrote some as Philippa Carr - The Black Swan, for instance)!.

As you may be able to tell, I enjoy a good romantic suspense novel!. There are many others, but I hope this helps!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
