Question: Twilight question! Please answer honestly!! !?
Okay!. It seriously bugs me how whenever anyone thinks or sees something to do with vampires/werewolves, their mind jumps to twilight!. Is this fair!? There are plenty of other books out there and it's impossible for anyone to write an actually marvelous book without being told they're copying Stephenie Meyer (eg, house of night series!.) Unless the plot is completely distinguished, the book is considered copycatting, immature, and petty!.
Not trying to be disrespectful or mean, but I think it's pathetic!.

I personally think that the reason most people's mind automatically jumps to Twilight when they think of vampires is because that is the one vampire series everyone has been hearing about the most!. Even people who don't even read vampire books or read at all automatically think Twilight because of all the popularity it has been getting!. I myself actually think about other vampire books though since I have read so many(a friend got me hooked)!. The Vampire Diaries or Vampire Kisses were good vampire books!. The best vampire books, though, are always the ones that cast a different light on vampires instead of the typical all-natural, non-defeatable(is that even a word!?!? Hm!.!.!.!.!.) kind!. Can't think of any examples off the top of my head, but there are quite a few!!Www@QuestionHome@Com

I think that Twilight isn't the best book out there and others have the possibility to write one just as good and better!. Others should be given a fair chance, and the opportunity to be creative without being compared to Twilight!.
I think that right now so many readers are caught up in the excitement of Twilight that they are unwilling to open their eyes to other possibilities!.
On the other hand since Twilight was released, so many people are trying to capitalize on the idea of vampires and not all of the stories are good, and some do resemble Twilight, but it people would be open minded and sift through the bad they will most likely find some other good vampire books!.

Well, even though I love Twilight, I can't say that that's the first thing my mind jumps to when vampires/werewolves are mentioned!. Mostly, I think of either Darren Shan, or the story that I'm writing for myself!. Twilight rocks, but for a vampire novel to be written off as a Stephenie Meyer copycat is ridiculous!. The more vampire and werewolf stories in the world the better, that's my opinion anyway!

i don't think it's UNFAIR!.!.!.!.!.Twilight is really popular and in my opinion the BEST book i've ever read in my life!!! so of course if they like the book and are passionate about it they're gonna think of it if something reminds them of it!. i'm sure there tons of other vampire books out there but let me tell you Twilight fans are crazy passionate!!! so basically EVERYTHING reminds them of it!.!.!.haha!! anyway!.!.this is just my opinion!.!.!.hope this helps!Www@QuestionHome@Com
I think that each story is unquie!. Even the ones that ARE copycatting because the author puts a different spin on it!. I love Twilight, but the first thing I think of at "vampire" is Dracula!. It was kinda implanted into my brain before everything Twilight!. And for "werewolf" I think Harry Potter!.!.!.but that might just meWww@QuestionHome@Com
i get it, i mean i do it!.!.!. but then i also think of other great vampire books!.!.!. because it so Famous, that is why you immediately think of it!. its just like someone saying wizard or witch, and people think of Harry Potter, because there such big time sellers, (that i personally think are both fantastic) everyone knows there names!. but don't get me wrong!.!. i also love Vampire Academy and peeps too!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
Well, I love Twilight!. But there are plenty of other books out there about vampies/werewolfs!. And my mind doesn't jump to Twilight when i see something to do with them!.
