Question: Would anyone read a novel about the twenties if it was written well and entertaining!?

Absolutely!. Love that jazz age/pre-Depression false sense of security thing!. Sounds kind of familiar !. !. !. now might be just the time relearn the lessons of the '20s!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Is it a non-fiction book because I don't read many of them and probably wouldn't bother reading an entire book dedicated to the history of the Twenties no matter how well written, simply because I personally can find out the specific topic I want to research through the internet, in half the time!.

If it is a fiction book then the time period isn't all that important, the story is!. I'm always interested in reading a good story/plot no matter when it takes place!. I read historical romances and time travel all the time!. I love learning about quirky facts about history when they are dispersed into a romance or drama or even mystery!. For me that's the best way to learn and I also retain the information better!. I'd love to hear about the clothes the heroine is wearing, or the clubs the hero goes to and what historical events brings them together!. (Mob, prohibition) Even the lingo that they speak although that might slow the story down abit cause I'd have to figure out what they were saying!. I did look at a website with slang from that era and although it's fascinating it was practically a language unto itself!.
My last piece of advice to you, don't worry so much!. There are always readers interested in different time periods and genres!. Even if me and sixty other people say they wouldn't read a non-fiction book about the Twenties there are still thousands of scholars, educators, students and others who would pick it up in a heartbeat as long as it is well written and entertaining!.
Happy writing!.
