Question: I need ideas for a novel!?

I'm looking for a good topic for a novel I am writing!. I've narrowed it down to medieval times but I can't narrow it down any more than that!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Dont use dragons and wizards, thats too cliche!. Dont use time travel either, thats lame!. I would make it about some girl who hates the whole stereoytipical damsel-in-distress thing, and she rescues an awesome prince who got stuck in a mud puddle or something!. They could fall in love, but there could be catches, like the girl has a weird uncle scientist who accidently blew up the palace foyer!. Mix it up a bit, dont be usual!. Www@QuestionHome@Com
