Question: Any suggestions on a book for a guy!?
It's approaching our 6 months, and I'd like to buy him a book, but my affinity for light chick lit reading, random coffee table books, and books about random topics such as law and biographies clash with his taste so I don't really know what to get him!.

He's into computers, he's hilarious, he likes art (namely street art), and isn't really into light reading!. As a kid he was into goosebumps and lord of the rings and brian jaques type things!. Fantasy!. He's been wanting a good book that's not too light!.

Any suggestions!? Preferably under twenty bucks!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

My first suggestion is that you buy him The Sparrow, by Mary Doria Russell!. This is an amazing, thoughtful book which is also a page turner!. It is classified as science fiction, but it is much more than that!.
http://www!.amazon!.com/Sparrow-Mary-Doria!.!.!.

If that doesn't sound right to you, you might want to try Clockers by Richard Price!. Completely different and entirely believable, this book puts a twist on almost every standard assumption that we are prone to make!. Just so you know, this book is not fantasy at all!.
http://www!.amazon!.com/Clockers-Novel-Ric!.!.!.

For some of the very best adult fantasy being written today look into Neil Gaiman!. I particularly love Neverwhere but all of his stuff is good!. If your boyfriend likes graphic novels and doesn't yet know Sandman, you might want to start there!. Other titles to consider would be Stardust and American Gods!.

Good luck on your search!. Books are my favorite present ever!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Hi, a book is a great 6 month gift! I'll try not to repeat the previous post, they had some awesome ideas!.
A few things I might suggest Terry Pratchett: he does funny fantasy stuff, Neil Gaiman does a variety of intelligent fantasy stuff with a darker side, or anything by Karl Kurlansky, he does some amazing historic nonfiction!. Bill Bryson does great funny travel books!. Matthew Reilly does really exciting adventure books!.
Good luck, I'm sure you will find that perfect Www@QuestionHome@Com

You might get him a book by Clive Cussler called the sea Hunters, It the first in a series About True Adventures with Famous ship wrecks!.!. I read it & now I am hooked & It was a book my Best friend got from her older brother!.You could call some used book stores & get it cheaper, cause New it's $24!.00, but I telling you if he likes to read he'll love it!. It is a Simon & Schuster publication!. Good luckWww@QuestionHome@Com

I've recently read Prey by Michael Crighton!. Very good!. I'm reading Angels & Demons by Dan Brown!. I've read The DaVinci Code!. I'm going to read Hannibal Rising and Polar Shift!. For technothrillers, it's hard to beat Tom Clancy's books!. For psychothrillers, Jonathan Kellerman is a good bet!. A great place to get books is to join an online swap!. Paperbackbookswap!.com is one!. You join, post 10 books you're willing to part with, then request books to be sent to you!. It costs around 2 bucks to send a book and you get ones in return for free!. Happy reading!Www@QuestionHome@Com
