There are many -- Curious Incident is good, but you may be interested in some books which more directly treat the condition!. (Curious Incident never describes the name of the condition the boy in the story has, but its fits Asperger's!. I disagree that it describes classical autism -- the boy is very verbal and functional, with gaps!. He is high-functioning!.)

I recommend these:

"Asperger's Syndrome, The Universe and Everything" by Kenneth Hall -- a memoir by a British youth with Asperger's!. Very interesting!.

"Look Me In The Eye" by John Elder Robison -- a memoir by an adult with Asperger's (the brother of the author of Running With Scissors)

"Songs of the Gorilla Nation: My Journey Through Autism" by Dawn Prince-Hughes -- a memoir by a woman who is a scientist who studies gorillas, and who has Asperger's!.

For a overview from a more scientific perspective:

"The Complete Guide to Asperger's Syndrome" by Tony Atwood!.

Why don't you read my book when I finish it!. I'm writing a memoir about what it was like living a double-life in the military with Asperger's!. I was unable to tell anyone!. All the while, my peers treated me like dirt, and my command did everything they could to hang me out to dry!. They did everything they could to squeeze me out!. Then when I faked my suicide to get out, that's when everyone decided to be nice to me!. Other books to read are Asperger's Syndrome by Tony Attwood, Look Me in the Eye, by John Robison, or Pretending to be Normal by Liane Holliday Willey!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yeah, "The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time" by Mark Haddon is great!.

It's about full-blown autism, and not the milder Asperger Syndrome, but it is a great book!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Tony Attwood's book is good!.

There is also a book on Girls with Asperger's!. The chapters are written by different people so some are better than others!.

I'd recommend looking at amazon and reading the reviews various books get!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

The Very Ordered Existence of Merilee Marvelous by Suzanne Crowley is an excellent middle grade novel about a 13-year-old with Aspergers!.
Www@QuestionHome@Com

"Asparagus Dreams" By Jessica Jane Peers!. Its Jessicas story of how she found "fitting in" so difficult and her struggle to be accepted in society!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The best book about coping with those who have it is "Loving Mr!. Spock"!. It goes through all the signs and famous characters who show traits of Aspergers, like Mr Spock and Mr Bean!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The curious incident of the dog in the night time!. It is excellent!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
