Question: An ' A series of unfortunate events ' question !.!?
In chapter 14, at the very end it is written that the baby of Kit Snicket 'read' the name of the boat, which is also her name, Beatrice aloud !.

And, earlier in the book, before Kit died, she said that she wanted the Baudelaire children to name her baby after their parents !.
Does that make Lemony their father , because wasn't Beatrice his lover or something !? O_x

im confused !.
it might be because I havent continued reading the series, though x_X
Would someone clear this up for me !?Www@QuestionHome@Com

The entire series is pretty confusing!. I read all of them and the extra books but I'm still trying to put pieces together!. Beatrice is definitely their mother but I'm not sure if he's their father!. Throughout the series it says one of their parents may be alive and it would make since if it was the author but at the same time, it wouldn't!. Sorry, if I didn't help!. I'm going to look it up now!.
I'm back and found this as an answer to the same question:

The father of these unfortunate orphans was called Bertrand Baudelaire!. Their mother was Beatrice, who was engaged to Lemony, broke off the engagement, and married Bertrand instead!.

I don't know why that other answerer mentions Count Olaf!. He's a separate character!.

And I would never trust Wikipedia to give accurate information on any subject!
