First of all you should use a town and state that YOU know because, you can write this whole story about this town/place and have no idea what it is REALLY like and how people REALLY live!. You may completely misrepresent the town!.

But I'll help you out, but you must give me credit some how (like that'll ever happen)

State: Utah
Town: Moab (population aprox 7,000)
Characteristics: Mountain Biking Capitol of the world, 4-wheeling capitol of the world!. Home to Arches National Park, and Canyonlands National park!.
Nearest River: The Colorado River (it runs through the north of town)
Nearest Towns: Monticello, UT (pronounced Mon-ti-sellow) (60 Miles away, 1 hour drive from Moab, Smaller town)!.
Green River, UT (60 miles away 1 hour drive Smaller town)!.
Nearest City: Grand Junction Colorado!.
Local Restraunts: My personal favorite: "The Moab Diner", Slickrock Caffe, Jail House Caffe (only open for breakfast), Moab Brewery, Sunset Grill (please google images to get an idea for this restaurant - slightly expensive thus I've never been there), Banditos Burritos, La Hacienda!. And there are many many other resteruants but those are the more "local" ones which are locally owned!.
Hangouts: The sand dunes, slickrock bike trail, Rotary park, the skate park, the pool (in summer) various spots along Mill Creek, and the Mill Creek Pathway, The lakes in the mountains!.
Attractions: The Slick Rock Bike Trail, the slickrock in general, river rafting, many other things!.!.!.google it!.
Weather: Arid, mid-high desert!. Day time highs in the winter usually are around 32 degrees, Spring is always pleasant with occasional rain showers, Summer it super hot with daytime highs reaching into 103-110 degree ranges!. Hot dry heat!. Almost not safe to go out in sometimes!. Hanging out in the summer often takes place in doors or in the late evening and night because it's too hot all day to do anything anyways!.
Fall is my favorite time of year there, very much like the spring but more stable weather with day time highs between 60-70 degrees and as fall progresses into november the highs slowly make there way into the 50s and then into wintertime temps by december 1st!.
October tends to be rainy for a desert!.
Google it!.!.!.I think there is a site called demographics!.com or something but idk!.
Religion (very important), around 50% mormon, 10% Christian, %20 far east and asian religions and the rest is more New age or a cross between everything!. And then there are an average amount of atheists!.
Lots of hippies to be found (young and old)!.

The Middle School's name is the Grand County Middle School, along with the high school's being the Grand County High School!.
The Middle School houses grades 7 and 8, while the high school is (obviously) 9-12!.

For history on the schools, their mascots, their teams and how they've done I recomend going to www!.moabtimes!.comWww@QuestionHome@Com
